Maria Town

President and CEO, American Association of People with Disabilities

Maria Town serves as the President and CEO of the American Association of People with Disabilities, a national cross-disability civil rights organization that seeks to build the political and economic power of the more than 61 million disabled people in the United States. She joined AAPD after spending a decade working in government at both the federal and municipal levels. She lives in DC with her wife and her cats, and she hails from South Louisiana where her family still resides.
