Ana Torres

After beginning her career as an educator, Ana delved into politics as an organizer for the Beto for Senate campaign and then as a Latinx Community Liaison for Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s Civic Saturday’s Program. In her role as Regional Director at Battleground Texas, she supervised voter registration initiatives spanning multiple counties and cities across Texas, collaborating closely with the Harris County Democratic Party and school districts to promote student voter participation. In 2020, she joined the Warren for America campaign, as the Community Regional Organizing Director, where she worked with grassroots organizations and community groups to mobilize support for Warren. She also worked with GetThru, a progressive tech company, to facilitate the tech used for volunteer engagement in campaigns, and with Collective Campaigns to support local progressive candidates in Austin. Additionally, Ana has served as a Project Manager at Sujata Strategies, focusing on guiding movement organizations and their leaders, and as a trainer with the National Democratic Training Committee.
